Hello! I’m excited to join EMBARQ as the new blogger for TheCityFix. I recently graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a bachelor’s degree in political science. While earning my degree, I completed guest study programs at the University of Cape Town and University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley.)

While studying the political economy of international development, I have also worked in many different tiers of the transportation space, most recently, as a communications extern at the Federal Transit Administration. At the FTA, I assisted the Communications and Congressional Relations team with media outreach and policy research. I witness the magic of public transportation daily and have been a committed rider from the LA Metro to the minibus taxis of Cape Town.

As TheCityFix Blogger, I’ll be collaborating with sustainability and development experts to share the latest news and research in policy, practice and innovation in sustainable transport. I greatly look forward to the exchange of ideas across the urban development sphere and encourage those interested in the same to contribute to TheCityFix. Feel free to contact me: matt.kroneberger@wri.org.
